Lighten the Hike

Lighten the Hike

Welcome to ‘Lighten the Hike’! Did you ever feel that the weight of your backpack was going to be the death of you? Trudging up that mountain side, trying to cross that river without falling in, walking in snow like you had medicine balls on your feet? The only time you raise your head up high is to catch your next breath, just in time to see some random hiker go skipping past with a child size pack on their back – and they smile – at you – then they disappear into the distance, their silhouette bobbing and bouncing effortlessly on the horizon. Never again ! ! Remember why you set out for that hike in the first place – bet it wasn’t to punish yourself! This blog is about lightening the hiking load piece by piece and step by step !
